How To Correctly Adjust The Focal Length Of Laser Marking Machine

Equipment manufacturers will emphasize the importance of focal length during equipment installation, training and sample adjustment. Laser laser engraving on the correct focal length surface is the key factor for the normal performance of the equipment. Many equipment direct users are confused and misunderstood about how to correctly adjust the focal length of laser marking equipment. Today, this paper summarizes some debugging methods of focal length of conventional laser marking machine.

1. Continuous light emission test method.

Draw a square or circle of about one centimeter on the marking software. After conventional filling, adjust the laser energy to a relatively large value in the laser setting parameter bar, and use the low frequency as much as possible. Then check continuous marking, place a shield such as a metal business card at the laser projection position on the product surface, continuously output light for marking, and shake the z-axis up and down, Until the laser acts on the metal business card with the strongest energy, the clearest sound and the brightest color, it is basically the focal length. Test it up and down several times to find the appropriate focal length. This method is more suitable for 1064nm wavelength optical fiber laser marking machine, semiconductor laser marking machine, end pumped laser marking machine, 355nm UV laser marking machine, 532nm green laser marking machine, etc. carbon dioxide laser marking machine can find a piece of white paper, and then draw a box in the marking software to continuously light out and shake the Z axis, The thinnest line on the paper is the focal plane.

2. Measuring focal length method.

After the equipment manufacturer informs the focal length data of the current equipment, it can be recorded, and then after each product switching. You can directly lean one end against the product surface with a steel ruler. The scale value refers to a reference surface on the field mirror and can be shaken up and down to the scale data. This method is applicable to all laser marking machines, but one disadvantage is that this method is not practical if the product position of laser carving is concave or it is not suitable to insert a steel ruler.

3. Double red light point-to-point value method.

This method requires the equipment to have this hardware configuration when it leaves the factory. One or two oblique red lights are added next to the galvanometer or galvanometer. Using some principles of right triangle, use a fixed right angle side and two overlapping oblique sides to find another right angle side of the focal length. Just shake up and down until the two red light indication points coincide, and you can quickly find the focal length. Although this method is convenient and fast, on the one hand, the equipment manufacturer needs to cooperate with the secondary device. In addition, if it is not properly adjusted or shifted in the middle, it is easy to mislead and form the wrong focal length plane.
