The cleaning quality of the collector ring parts has a vital impact on the safe and stable running of the motor car. A collector ring (outer sleeve) is installed on the outer axle of the bearing gland inside the gearbox. The carbon brush of the grounding device keeps a radial contact with the collector under the effect of spring pressure. The collector ring collects the leakage current on the car and conducts it to the grounding conductor through the carbon brush and conductive plate. The current conduction process is from the collector ring, carbon brush, conductive plate, grounding conductor, and the rear vehicle grounding. Therefore, the cleaning of collector ring surface rust is of great significance. It can not only greatly improve the service life, but also ensure the operation safety of the entire motor car, and it is crucial to find an efficient and high-quality cleaning method.
For the collector ring, the existing cleaning technologies are mainly high-pressure water cleaning, mechanical cleaning, chemical cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning and laser cleaning. However, these traditional rust removal methods have their own limitations, such as serious pollution, difficult to ensure the cleaning quality, low automation and other problems.
At present, as a new cleaning technology, laser derusting has the advantages of high cleaning efficiency, good cleaning quality, green environment and easy automation. It has a broad application prospect. The laser rust removal technology was used to carry out the laser rust removal process experiment on the surface of the collector ring, which realized the complete removal of the material surface rust and exposed the silver white metal substrate.
