Laser cleaning technology

The mechanism of laser cleaning is mainly based on the fact that after the pollutants on the surface of the object absorb laser energy, either vaporize and volatilize, or are instantly thermally expanded to overcome the adsorption force of the surface on the particles, so that they can be separated from the surface of the object, thereby achieving the purpose of cleaning. At present, the mechanism of laser cleaning generally includes four aspects: laser vaporization and decomposition, thermal expansion of dirt particles, substrate surface vibration and particle-to-particle vibration, and laser peeling; and laser cleaning is often the result of the simultaneous action of multiple mechanisms.

Laser cleaning physical principle is as follows:

1. The light beam emitted by the laser is absorbed by the contamination layer on the surface to be treated and vaporized.

2. The absorption of large energy forms a rapidly expanding plasma and generates a shock wave.

3. The shock wave breaks the contaminants into fragments and strips them away.
