Laser welding robot is an industrial robot engaged in welding, cutting and spraying. Welding robot mainly includes robot and welding equipment. The robot consists of the robot body and the control cabinet (hardware and software). Welding equipment, taking arc welding and spot welding as an example, consists of welding power source (including its control system), wire feeder (arc welding), welding gun (clamp), etc. The intelligent robot shall also have a sensing system, such as a laser or camera sensor and its control device.
It is not enough to use a robot for welding. Peripheral equipment must also be equipped. Conventional arc welding robot system consists of the following five parts
1. The robot body is generally a 6-axis articulated manipulator driven by a servo motor, which is composed of a driver, a transmission mechanism, a mechanical arm, joints and internal sensors. Its task is to accurately ensure the position, posture and motion track required by the end of the manipulator (the gun).
2. The robot control cabinet is the nerve center of the robot system, including computer hardware, software and some special circuits, which is responsible for processing all information and controlling all actions of the robot in the working process.
3. Welding power supply system, including welding power supply, special welding gun, etc.
4. Welding sensors and system safety protection facilities.
5. Welding fixture.
Laser welding robots produced around the world are basically joint robots, most of which have six axes. Among them, axis 1, 2 and 3 can send end tools to different spatial positions, while axis 4, 5 and 6 can meet different requirements for tool attitude.
Laser welding robot is a kind of highly automatic welding equipment. It is the development trend of welding manufacturing industry to use robot instead of manual welding, and it is an important means to improve welding quality, reduce costs and improve working environment. Robotic welding, as an important symbol of the development of modern manufacturing technology, has been accepted by many domestic factories, and more and more enterprises choose welding robots as the technical transformation plan.
