The basic process steps and precautions for the application of laser cladding technology in the mold field are as follows:
1. Confirmation of mold surface inspection and maintenance plan: Check whether the mold has cracks, scratches, pits, and whether the position to be processed is a plane or an R angle. Determine the maintenance plan for different problems and perform appropriate polishing on the places that need to be processed.
2. Cleaning of mold surface oil stains: Use cleaning fluid to clean, remove scale, oil stains, grease and paint, etc., to improve the surface coating effect.
3. Select reasonable coating and process parameters according to hardness requirements: Select appropriate power, focal length, spot and coating (such as iron machine powder for cast iron) according to maintenance plans and customer requirements.
4. Laser cladding repair: The coating is evenly spread through the equipment, and the laser emits a laser beam. The laser beam is refracted by the internal lens and acts on the processed surface, so that the coating and the surface of the parent material form a complete metallographic bond.
5. Repair of mold surface after treatment: The fitter polishes the composite surface to ensure that the mold gap and surface roughness meet the requirements.
6. Inspection before delivery: Check whether the hardness and surface roughness after treatment meet the customer's requirements. If not, it must be redone.
